Yeah, that's been my experience! It largely hasn’t been the memory at all that’s been an issue (except for the occasional weird things that are Do The Exact Opposite Of Everything Gymnastics Ever Drilled Into You, c'est la vie) — my problems have really all been strength-to-weight ratio and some oddball deficiencies in the shoulders that I’m not certain of their origin (but that I do suspect my excessive breast tissue of being at least an Aggravating Factor of as they are not something I dealt with when I WAS a gymnast).

Still, I’m slowly, steadily increasing that strength-to-weight ratio and seeing gains and improvements! And I’ve been kind entertained and flattered to learn -- literally half a lifetime after I left gymnastics! -- that my handstand line down on the floor is still Pretty Goddamn Good Actually. XD Muscle memory Learned Young is, in fact, a wonder, much like multiple languages Learned Young.
